Fred Again..

7/10

Progressive House

Melodic House

adore u - I still enjoy this song, a poignant message to fred's sister, with obongjayars sweet vocals laced over a bouncy backing instrumental. it almost feels a bit out of place on this album, the energy feels off - don't get me wrong, I love the song, i just cant help wondering if this was the right place for it.

ten 10/10

fear less - sampha vocals stand out, beautiful large synths second half of track

just stand there - woah, something indescribably beautiful about this track. vocals are brilliant, that arpeggio piano, harsh in the forefront of the sound is bold but drives the song, heavily emotional. a symphony of sounds in the last section of the song, feels like im discovering something about myself. awesome driving bouncing synths at the end

places to be - awesome vocals from anderson paak, production is on point, clean but effective

.six - best interlude

glow - duskus is awesome man, you can feel his influence on this track, with four tet's magic touch and fred pulling it all together. This is groovy, bouncy that doesnt take anything from any of their own styles, this is fantastic collaboration. the large waving, driving synth pushing through towards the end is a particular highlight, you can feel that in your heart

i saw you - a slower, more emotional track that sees fred singing for the first time properly on the album. not my favourite track on the album, almost feels like an actual life reject. its a bit messy

where will i be - not a huge fan of this, the vocals are cool, but the instrumental feels almost retrofit, some interesting sounds but i'm not sure what this song is trying to be

peace u need - this is the emotional fred that sounds better, jumpy with an interesting instrumental, sounds super different to the original version he teased, this is louder, more in your face and thats not a bad thing. The slow build up at the end section is my favourite part, the instrumental sounds clean and the vocals are punchy, you hear the joy anonymous influence, big hen's harmonies hitting

backseat - vocals are sickkk, classic fred piano coming out. wow wow wow, close second to ten for best song on the album, this is so so good. fred and the japanese house going back and forth 'in the end it always does' sounds so great, their voices compliment eachother beautifully. but ultimately, the driving piano is what makes this song what it is.
